Hurricane “Sandy” was something new for this area. An event that left real, and lasting devastation to multiple neighborhoods. The kind of damage that takes years to completely repair. The kind of damage that requires feet on the ground AND money in hand. Winter is here, and Sandy’s victims having safe homes with heat and running water is no small issue. What was also unique about Sandy was the number of 1st responders who’s homes were destroyed.

As we all could have predicted, the Insurance Companies are dragging their feet, and the government is making excuses, but the work goes on because there are charities, and volunteers on the ground doing the work. This is not a sprint, but a marathon. For many it will still be months before their lives are back to normal, and for some their homes may never be replaced.

Here at the Firestore we have always used the tried and true “Commemorative Tee Shirt” as a fundraiser. Our Firestore EXCLUSIVE “Sandy Relief” design pays tribute to all those who turn out and give hope in the wake of this disaster. Help us help the people on the ground. the ones who are “doing”, not just talking about it.

A significant portion of the proceeds from the sale of this shirt will be donated to local charities assisting in Sandy Relief. These NYC based charities have worked tirelessly to help FDNY, NYPD & EMS members of service in THEIR time of need so spread the word! The more we sell the more we can donate!
